You’re probably familiar with the Law of Attraction, but did you know that there are 12 Universal Spiritual Laws that govern existence?
We’re constantly manifesting our realities.
If living a more spiritually aligned life and becoming a conscious manifestor interest you, awareness of the 12 Universal Laws will be a game changer on your manifesting journey.
Where Do the 12 Universal Laws Originate From?
The 12 Universal Laws are natural laws that originate from “Source,” “The Divine,” or “Universal One Consciousness.” It’s one of those things in life that simply just is.
The 12 Universal Laws were not created by humans; it’s not moralistic, nor are they governmental laws made to have structure and order in society.
They’re something that has been observed by humans over time and is thought to be unchanging. Similar to scientific theories like the Theory of Relativity by Albert Einstein or the Law of Gravity by Sir Issac Newton.
Ancient Hawaiian, Egyptian, and Greek cultures have long known these spiritual laws.
If you’re already familiar with the 7 Hermetic Principles, you already have a head start. The 12 Universal Laws are similar and are an extension of Hermetic Principles.
7 Hermetic Egyptian Principles: Principle of Mentalism, Principle of Correspondence, Principle of Vibration, Principle of Polarity, Principle of Rhythm, Principle of Cause and Effect, and Principle of Gender.
Why are the 12 Natural Laws of the Universe Important for Manifesting?
They’re like rules for the game of life or the Divine Order of life, so knowing and understanding them can help you manifest your wildest dreams versus a nightmare.
If you have already unconsciously manifested a nightmare, don’t despair; learning these Universal principles will help you manifest a thriving life and a life of well-being.
So pin it, bookmark it, study them, and look back on them from time to time.
Let’s get started.
Universal Law 1: The Law of Divine Oneness
The Law of Divine Oneness states that everything is one and interconnected. It is the first and foundational law for the following 11 laws.
This one can be a head-scratcher for some (me included). I’m sure you’ve heard some spiritualists say, “we are all one,” and you’re wondering what that even means.
This law is generally a felt experience and cannot be intellectualized or understood with the mind. As we go through the other 11 laws, you’ll see how everything is truly interconnected. We need plants, and the plants need us, so to speak.
The Law of Divine Oneness reminds us that although we seem separate on a physical level, we are all one being on a spiritual level. What is in you is also in me. Use this law to practice compassion and empathy for yourself and others.
Universal Law 2: The Law of Energy or Vibration
The Law of Energy or Vibration states that everything in the Universe is in constant motion and is made of energy.
All physical existence, the seen and unseen, the solid and mysterious, is all energy. And energy holds a vibrational frequency.
We in the flesh are just living balls of energy. On a quantum level, our bodies are comprised of atoms, molecules, and cells holding a strong electromagnetic field.
Our thoughts, emotions, and feelings are constantly vibrating and emitting frequency.
The Law of Energy or Vibration teaches us that we have power over our vibration. If you are feeling in a lower vibrational energy or having a tough time. Process the lesson and find activities, rituals, and friends that will help get you back into vibrational alignment with your desires.

Universal Law 3: The Law of Attraction
The Law of Attraction states that energy goes where your attention flows.
“Like attracts like.” Earth is one giant magnet. We are all magnets, constantly attracting to ourselves what is like ourselves.
Dr. Wayne Dyer once said, “You don’t attract what you want; you attract what you are.”
Coupled with The Law of Vibration or Energy, your energy attracts situations, people, places, and objects in your life with equal vibration.
The Law of Attraction reminds us to focus on what we do want versus what we don’t want. Pay attention to your thoughts and tune into your feelings. Without neglecting your current reality and feelings, look at them, release the lower vibrational thoughts and emotions and raise your vibrational frequency to align with your desires.
Universal Law 4: The Law of Correspondence
The Law of Correspondence states that patterns occur throughout the Universe, and external reality mirrors your internal experience.
As above, so below.
As within, so without.
The Law of Correspondence reminds us that to change our external reality; we must first change our internal reality. Inner work comes first!
It’s important not to blame yourself if you don’t like what you see on the outside but rather use this law as a point of observation to practice the other laws. Do you like what you see externally? What’s happening internally?
If your life appears to be thriving and abundant, kudos! You are right where you’re supposed to be, in alignment with love, bliss, happiness, and joy.
If you are in a state of lack, you are out of alignment with your true self and the vibrational energy of love.
Your body holds infinite wisdom. Pay attention and listen to the messages and synchronicities the Universe is trying to communicate with you through your body and circumstances. So the key here is to observe and tune in with your thoughts and emotional vibration.
Always remember that the vibration of love, bliss, peace, joy, and happiness is where Source wants you to align internally and externally.
Universal Law 5: The Law of Inspired Action
The Law of Inspired Action states that we must take physical action to manifest our desires into reality. Simple enough. Let’s get to work. But there’s actually another layer to this law.
This Law of Inspired Action asks us to surrender and trust that the Universe is working behind the scenes for our personal evolution.
Actively create space and time for internal guidance.
Inspiration, creativity, and wisdom come to us when we slow down and relax our body, mind, and soul. Remain open to all possibilities on your path and listen to the clues that nudge you to the next inspired action and the next.
Universal Law 6: The Law of Cause and Effect
The Law of Cause and Effect, a.k.a. the Law of Karma, states that every action has a reaction and a consequence.
The direct Sanskrit translation of Karma means “action.” Newton’s law of physics states that every action has an equal force or opposite reaction.
The Law of Cause and Effect reminds us that we are at the center of our experiences. And we have a lot more power than we sometimes think.
Be the cause of your life and not the effect. If you focus on the cause, the self, you take responsibility and accountability for everything in your life.
What we put out will come back to us. If you want to change your experience, take care of your thoughts, mind, feelings, body, soul, and actions.
Universal Law 7: The Law of Compensation
The Law of Compensation states that you reap what you sow. It’s the understanding of giving and receiving. In and out.
To receive love, you must also give love.
If you withhold love, love will be withheld from you.
If you withhold forgiveness, forgiveness will be withheld from you.
The Law of Compensation reminds us if we provide value, we receive value. Sometimes not in forms from an external source, but our personal pride, self-confidence, self-gratitude, and self-respect. And honestly, I think this is the best!
Do you value yourself enough to believe you can provide value? Do you love yourself enough to give love? Give to yourself, but don’t forget to give to others. Give to others but also don’t neglect yourself.
Universal Law 8: The Law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy
My favorite law! The Law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy states that nothing is static, and the Universe is in constant motion. We are constantly evolving with the Universe.
Nothing can be created nor destroyed but only transformed.
The Law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy reminds us that we have the power to transform our lives. We are all alchemists of our life!
We can transmute our sorrows into happiness. We can transform our weaknesses into strengths. We can transmute our anger and frustration into inspired action. Our failures into successes. We can build something from nothing. Transform victimhood into leadership. The list goes on.
Universal Law 9: The Law of Relativity
The Law of Relativity states that everything is neutral when seen in isolation, and perception and perspective are relative to the experiencer.
A simple example is a well-known question: is the cup half empty or half full? Neither interpretation is wrong, right, good, or bad. It’s just all relative to the experiencer and the situation.
The Law of Relativity reminds us to judge less and remain open and flexible to different perspectives and interpretations. Compare ourselves to others less because it’s all relative. Your biggest failures and sorrows are generally what become your greatest success and road to happiness and joy.
Universal Law 10: The Law of Polarity
The Law of Polarity states that everything in the Universe has duality—a polar opposite.
Cold and warm. Love and fear. Dark and light. Positive and negative. Yin-Yang
Human existence has duality, so we can discern, compare, and contrast things. We need one opposite to inform the other, but they are two sides of the same coin and part of the whole.
The Law of Polarity teaches us that we must understand what we don’t want to manifest what we want. And when we encounter what we don’t want, you bet the Universe has what we do want waiting for us. For every end, there is a new beginning.
Universal Law 11: The Law of Rhythm
The Law of Rhythm states that life and existence are cyclical. The moon orbits Earth, and Earth rotates around the sun, creating days and seasons. So, thus our life has seasons.
We have springs to enjoy the fruits of our labor. We have winters reminding us to retreat, rest, and care for ourselves. When I look back, I was constantly fighting my life.
The Law of Rhythm reminds us to flow with life. Following the Law of Relativity, everything that happens is neutral. Use your ups and downs as clues and messages from the Universe to inform your next inspired action.
Surrender, trust, and become a pro at listening to yourself and the Universe.
Universal Law 12: The Law of Gender
The Law of Gender states that everything in the Universe has feminine energy (yin) and masculine energy (yang). Not to be confused with gender and sex (male or female).
It’s important to note that not one trait is better than the other. We need both polarities to inform each other.
The world has been operating in predominately masculine energy; we need feminine energy to rise and find harmony between both.
And within our own being, find harmony between our feminine and masculine polarities.
The Law of Gender reminds us that when we work hard, we must rest. When we actively talk (do), we also need to listen (receive). Be open to receiving but also be generous to give. A great example from writers is that you need structure with creativity, the formless word.
Closing Thoughts on The 12 Universal Laws
You got to the end!
Understanding and studying the 12 Universal Laws truly changed my life. Keep the laws in the back of your mind as you go through life but don’t get too attached to them. Just know they’re there and that you can actively harness them to manifest your dream life.
Observe what’s happening inside you as you interact with the external world. You’ll most likely see multiple laws happening simultaneously at any given moment.
One ancient Indian remedy for manifesting your life is when you learn something new, and it resonates to share and spread wisdom.
Spread the word, you powerful manifestor.
P.S. As you were reading earlier, pay attention to what’s happening inside you. Did the laws empower you, or did you feel bad because of [insert story]?
If it was the latter, as per the Law of Relativity, it’s all relative. And if you don’t like the story, you can transmute it Using the Law of Perpetual Transmutation. Pretty cool stuff.
